Ties between Taiwan and the UK getting stronger

The British representative of Taiwan has said that relations between the country and the UK are improving as a result of hard work and continuous exchanges. David Campbell, the director of the British Trade and Cultural Office (BTCO) and the country’s official representative to Taiwan, said that there has been a significant increase of trade flow and investments, resulting in improved bilateral ties between the two countries. In the tourism market, the UK’s lifting of visa requirements for Taiwan residents last March 2009 resulted in higher tourist arrivals of Taiwanese holidaymakers.
