Air Berlin and Europcar join forces

posted in Car Rental |

Germany’s second largest airline and Europe’s leading car hire provider have announced that they will be joining forces to create a new Premium Partnership which will result in customers of Air Berlin being given the best deals available with Europcar.

Since 2008, Europcar has been a topbonus partner with Air Berlin. Now that it has been granted the status of Premium Partner, customers of the airline can expect to be offered even better deals when it comes to hiring vehicles from the Europcar fleet.

As part of the deal, Air Berlin will now market its new partner to customers via its website as well as at check-in counters, booking desks and to those making reservations by telephone. Europcar will also be advertised on the airlines in-flight entertainment system, on aircraft doors and in the Air Berlin magazine.

Guirec Grand Clement, global sales and marketing director for Europcar International, said that being elected to the position of Premium Partner proved how successful the partnership between the two companies had become. He added that both Europcar and Air Berlin had benefited tremendously over the past two years since the car hire firm had been made a topbonus partner.

Europcar has announced that in celebration of its new position it will be offering Air Berlin passengers the chance to access the most competitive deals at all major UK airports through its Drive Bigger, Pay Less campaign. The promotion will last until July 18 and will cover vehicles booked up until September 12 2010.
