The Marriott hotel chain has announced that it will be opening a new 180-room hotel in 2013, in Scopje, the Macedonian capital. The venture will be the company’s first ever in the Balkans. The Skopje Marriott will be located in the city’s main square, within easy reach of the capital’s main social and business districts.

British Airways and Unite are today waiting to learn whether an injunction against union members walking out on strike will be overturned. On Monday, British Airways was successful in holding off walkouts by its cabin crew, after the High Court ruled that Unite had not provided its members with sufficient information about the results of the strike ballot.
