Koroush Pour, boss of an esteemed Kensington car hire company, has been sentenced to two years in jail.
Pour, 33, funded his lavish lifestyle with over £600,000 of his customers’ money and posed as a member of the Kuwaiti royal family. Pour also sold cars with outstanding payments of hundreds of thousands of pounds.

Thrifty Car Rental, the premier car hire company in the United Arab Emirates, has kicked off its summer season by improving its promotional campaigns.
Yesterday, Thrifty announced its new promotional rates that are to be offered only to Emirates NBD credit card holders. From May 2010 until the end of April 2011, the new rates will apply to Thrifty locations throughout the UAE.

Disruption to British Airways flights is set to continue until the weekend, according to an airline spokesman. BA’s Paul Marston said that services today will be similar to the ones on Monday, which saw the cancellation of 10 per cent of scheduled long haul flights from Heathrow, and 40 per cent of flights to and from European destinations.

NASA’s chief of staff to Administrator Charlie Bolden, George T Whitesides, has been named Virgin Galactic’s new chief executive officer. Between 2004 and 2008, Whitesides served as the National Space Society’s executive director. In 2007, whilst still in the role, he was invited to become Virgin Galactic’s senior advisor.
Whitesides said that he was extremely excited to be in a position where he could take Virgin Galactic from an experimental phase, to full scale commercial operations.
