A new advertising campaign from US-based National Car Rental has been launched, braving putting it at the head of the car hire pack. The two-pronged approach is aimed at educating stakeholders and attracting new business customers.
The group is seeking to undertake an information program to ensure that all stakeholders in the company are fully aware of the organisation’s activities and conscious of the increasingly strong brand image held by National Car Rental. The move comes at a period in time when rental car outfits are seeking a new range of measures and incentives to attract and consolidate their customer base.

Dublin based budget airline Ryanair has announced that it is considering charging its customers to use the lavatory onboard its aircraft. The proposed fee is likely to be either one pound or one euro. The coins would be needed to operate the toilet door release mechanism which Boeing is apparently already developing.
Ryanair say that by installing coin operated toilets on its aircraft it will encourage people to use facilities available at airports before boarding. The new charges would apply to all Ryanair flights lasting less than an hour.

The world’s favourite airline could soon be one of the world’s largest if the proposed merger of British Airways and Iberia is approved by regulators. A provisional deal was agreed between the two in November 2009 and is expected to be finalised by the end of this year.
BA and Iberia will still continue to operate under the same names but the new parent company will be called International Airlines Group. Willie Walsh, BA’s chief executive said that the merger would provide customers with a larger network in which to fly.

One of the leading US car rental companies is offering a great new deal. Advantage Rent A Car, has announced that all online bookings made via its website will receive a five per cent discount.
The five per cent savings will apply to all weekly car bookings that are under the program and must be made before the end of May. A unique, dedicated code is required to be entered at the time of booking, with all customers wishing to take advantage of the offer needing to enter the CDP code of “1875232″ at the time of booking.
