Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA) has expressed no shock at Chancellor Alistair Darling’s pre-election budget, but rather voiced satisfaction over the help he extended towards small enterprises that would greatly benefit many of ABTA’s members.
The chancellor declared that financial institutions with large public sector ownership will lend £41 billion to small firms in the next 12 months. An adjudicator post will also be made to impose judgement on bank lending decisions. Moreover, the government official informed that there will be a new scheme that will make sure Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) are fairly treated when applying for loans.

China will soon be receiving the world’s largest commercial plane with the inauguration of Emirates Airlines’ Dubai-Beijing-Dubai flight service starting this August.
The 517-seater A380 aircraft will be used on the current EK 306 flight service that flies from Dubai daily at 4:10 and arrives in the Chinese capital at 15:10. Meanwhile, the return flight EK 307 departs from Beijing Airport just before midnight and lands at Dubai Airport at 4:20 the following day.

Thinking of renting a car in Europe? Your age may be a significant factor in what you are entitled to, and although the minimum age is generally accepted as fairly standard, the notion of maximum age may surprise a few unsuspecting travellers.
Sweden, Slovenia, Slovakia, Germany, Croatia and Austria all make car hire available to drivers aged 18 and over, while 19 is the minimum in Norway and Estonia. This rises to 20 years of age in Switzerland, Finland and Bulgaria and up to 21 for the majority of the remaining European countries.
