Reno-Tahoe Airport executives are now getting ready to make a major push to draw new developments to the air terminal’s surrounding sites. They anticipate that the new plan will give double benefit for the region’s economy.
Large companies such as Dassault Aircraft Services, which run an aircraft service centre at the terminal since a year ago, are now generating more jobs to boost the place’s economy. Moreover, several airlines are now expanding their service to Reno as well, enhancing the region’s tourism and business activities.

Heavily affected by a work strike on Saturday, British Airways (BA) said that it is targeting to operate 60 per cent of its flights. The local press reported on Sunday that the UK national flag carrier is now training more staff to temporarily replace the strikers.
The trade union Unite, which is struggling against a pay freeze and job cuts, claimed that the company’s effort to triumph over the strike by provisionally replacing cabin crew is ineffective. However, Willie Walsh, CEO of BA, said on a video announcement that the airline’s emergency plans had worked better than he had earlier anticipated.

Ieuan Wyn Jones, the Welsh Deputy First Minister, has issued a reassurance to pensioners and disabled passengers using the bus network that they will still be entitled to receive free travel. Mr Ieuan Wyn Jones’ comments came in the wake of the Department of Transport’s latest decision to raise the entitlement age in England to bring it into line with state pension legislation as of April 1st.
Mr Jones has stressed that the Welsh bus system will not be affected and also repeated his pledge to endeavour to extend the scheme to cover servicemen and veterans that have been seriously wounded [...]
