Leading money-saving website Discountvouchers has started a Facebook campaign to raise financial support for Sport Relief. The online company is offering to give the charity 10p for each new Facebook fan that will sign-up until the midnight of 21 March 2010.
Any person can be a Facebook fan by visiting DiscountVouchers’ page. As a signed up member, the user will receive news on the most up-to-date money-saving offers from DiscountVouchers, which gives discounts on a wide array of companies such as Argos, First Choice, Lastminute, Marks & Spencer, Sky and Tesco.

The planned strike by British Airways (BA) cabin crew has received growing support from a number of unions around the world. Unions representing airport workers in France, Germany and the US have pledged their backing for the walk-out.
US union leader, James Hoffa, said that BA operations could be interrupted if action will also be done at US airports. However, it is not clear what form of legal action the US group could take.

The travel industry is increasing its speculation that a takeover of Traveljigsaw, the online Manchester-based travel agency, is imminent.
Industry analysts are believed to have valued Traveljigsaw in the region of £150 million, with expert advisers at KPMG understood to be formulating a strategic review of the business.
The company was originally founded by a group of former employees from Airtours and was initially funded with the backing of founder David Crossland. Under the trading name of Car Hire 3000, the organisation offers vehicle rental in 27 different countries.

The lack of suitable child seating options for overseas travel has inspired a former consultant with Travel Counsellors to take action, with the result being the invention of a new portable children’s car seat.
Grainne Kelly, who hails from Northern Ireland’s Londonderry, unveiled the inflatable booster seat which she has christened the Bubblebum. The seat can be folded flat and fits easily into a day-pack or handbags, making it ideal for long holiday hire car journeys or cross-city taxi rides.
