It seems that Kiss Flights, which operates from eight UK airports outside of Scotland, will be offering 12 summer routes to Mediterranean destinations starting in April. Some of the areas that people will be able to fly to include Spain, Greece, Turkey, Cyprus and Portugal. A spokesman for the company said that the flights will be operated on behalf of Kiss Flights by Swedish carrier Viking Airlines, using a Boeing 737 aircraft.

It seems that British Airways is not just planning on closing down on the days that the union plans on going on strike. In fact, British Airways has been asking its office-based staff to volunteer as cabin crew members in case of a strike by union members.

As many people in the airline industry had predicted, Japan Airlines has now filed for court led restructuring and bankruptcy protection with the Tokyo District Court. The Enterprise Turnaround Initiative Corp. of Japan, which is a government turnaround agency currently working on the financial problems of Japan Airlines, has just recently revealed the bankruptcy proposal.

In spite of ongoing strike threats and warnings of civil action, the troubled British Airways group has given in to popular demand by announcing the extension of its special deals for residents of the United Arab Emirates.
The sale, originally slated as one for New Years, will now be extended to the 26th of January. This means that passengers bound for London from the UAE – 26 flights each week to London Heathrow – can still take advantage of great low fares. Also included in the offer are deals for travel to the UK, USA, Canada and Europe.

Fury in Manchester after police seized a limousine company chief’s stretch Hummer as part of a new blitz on the region’s roads.
The £100,000 stretch super jeep has been specially adapted to accommodate 18 people but was impounded by local authorities outside Belle Vue stadium in Kirkmanshulme Lane following a disagreement over a driver’s license. Owner and company boss Jason Earl, who has been spending the evening at the Belle Vue dogs, was forced to hire an additional limo from a competing company to deliver his customers home.
