The well know German carrier Lufthansa has flew 2.6 percent less passengers in 2009 than in 2008. To match this slight decline in overall passengers, capacity has also been reduced by the airline by 1.3 percent over the course of the year.
Almost 55.6 million passengers flew with Lufthansa in 2009. All regions did report a drop in traffic, except for the Middle East and Africa. Revenue seat kilometers fell by 2.4 percent as well. It now seems that hundreds of hopefuls are expected to turn out for an X-Factor-style search for holiday camp entertainers. Holiday park company Haven Holidays will be launching its biggest ever search for singers, dancers, and presenters. The people that win will be working at the company’s 35 parks across the UK.
Haven Holidays will be staging open auditions in Birmingham on January 15 & 16 as part of a nationwide recruitment drive. Many of the 150 seasonal jobs on offer will lead to permanent positions with the company. The pay rates will range from £250 to £375 a week.

Right now, work to turn a historic Paignton seafront pub into a multi-million pound hotel is due to start in about a month. The hotel giant Whitbread hopes to open a 33 bedroom, £2 million new Premier Inn by early summer.
The low budget hotel company has been given permission for the conversion and new two story extension to the existing building, but it currently is still applying for minor changes to the scheme. Thus, the company will have to wait for permission for these changes to be made.
