Airbus Gets Big Order from Ethiopian Airlines

It now seems that Airbus has just recently revealed that it has an order from Ethiopain Airlines. The reason why this is such a big deal for Airbus is because Ethiopian Airlines is a long term Boeing customer. The order is for 12 of its new A350 XWB aircrafts, in a deal that is valued at $2.8 billion. This now brings Airbus’ worldwide orders to 505.
Ethiopian has now selected the A350-900 to operate from their hub in Addis Ababa on routes to Europe, Asia, and the United States. The carrier does have an order for 10 Boeing 787 Drealiner aircrafts, [...]

Network Rail to Spend £150 Million on South Wales Rails

Network rail will be making a big investment to improve the work in the Severn Tunnel Junction area in this generation. The very first part of this plan is nearly complete, and the New Year will mark a brand new start for thousands of passengers at Severn Tunnel Junction.

British Airways Waiting on Cabin Crew Strike Results

As many people have already heard, British Airways is in danger of having to deal with a strike this coming Christmas. Although this is very bad news for the airline, it is also bad news for all of the travelers that have already booked tickets with the airline.
Just recently, the British Airways’ cabin crew began their voting over Christmas strike action. This strike ballot was called in protest against the new employment rules that include a two year pay freeze and reduced holidays. It is also said that the new rules would include fewer benefits.

Irish Rail requires major overhaul

Massive changes have been called for in the services offered by Irish Rail ahead of the Malahide viaduct reopening tomorrow by a railway passengers group.
Rail Users Ireland said in a statement that while they welcomed the viaduct’s reopening, they also warned against being sucked in by the back-patting Irish Rail organisation who has trumpeted their achievement in completing the project in just three months. Superfast British train travel edges closer

High speed rail journeys from London to Scotland have become more likely with the commissioning of a report into the feasibility of the project.
Continental Europe is riddled with high-speed rail networks, with France and Spain being the biggest beneficiaries with connections between Lyon and Paris or Madrid and Seville. However, the UK can show only one tiny stretch of high-speed railway track which serves more as a brake for the Eurostar on its way into the capital.
