British Airways Comes Forward on Baggage Charges

It now seems that the well know UK based airline British Airways has now come forward on its new increase in baggage charges, which is due next month. Many people have already heard about this new fee due to the fact that it was suppose to come out this month. However, since the airline had to update its systems, the new baggage fee is set for next month.

British Airways Told Give up Slots for Anti Trust Immunity

It now seems that the three Oneworld carriers that are seeking anti trust immunity for a transatlantic joint venture have been told that they will have to give up airport slots if their application is going to go through. The three airlines, British Airways, Iberia and American Airlines, have been told by the European Commission that the joint venture could damage competition on some transatlantic routes, and thus, some routes will have to be given up.

British Airways In talks with Unite Union Over Check in and Customer Service Staff

Just following the decision that led to a strike ballot for British Airways’ cabin crew, Unite union is now holding more talks with British Airways’ management team. However, this time the talks are about the check in and customer service staff.
The officials from Unite and GMB unions will meet with airline management to discuss the carrier’s planned job losses and cost cuts. The last set of talks about check in staff ended without any kind of agreement being reached. These talks were held over the summer. Uninsured motorists a threat to hire car drivers

London car hire users have been issued with a warning to watch out for uninsured drivers as they are costing taxpayers considerably each year.
In a statement by an expert on London’s motoring, the results of getting behind the wheel of your car without a valid policy has been highlighted as both financially and personally damaging. Points may be imposed upon a user’s license and even fines applied in some cases.

Satnav error warning for hire car driver

The reliability of satellite navigation in systems has been questioned for residents of Birmingham and Coventry, prompting warnings for hire car drivers in the area who rely too heavily on the technology.
An ambulance driver who works out of the Birmingham City Hospital was faced with the loss of his job following an incident earlier this year when he was pulled over by local police after driving the wrong way on a one-way road. Avtar Suniara was in his own car at the time.
