It now seems that the Singapore Tourist Board has laid out their blueprints for tourism growth. The Plan, which is being called Tourism Compass 2020, will be an enhancement from the Tourism 2015. The blueprint launched back in 2005 aimed to achieve Sin$30 billion in tourism receipts and 17 million visitor arrivals to Singapore.
This new map that has been drawn up by the Singapore Tourist Board aims to take the recent global events into play as well. This is something that the last plan did not. In fact, Singapore itself has undergone dynamic changes with a dramatically different Singapore Skyline.

It now seems that Stena, one of the leading ferry companies, has just announced details on a new plan for its Northern Corridor fleet. Starting in early November, the company will be introducing a third ship, which will be called the Stena Navigator, to its Stranraer-Belfast route. The vessel will be able to cater to both passengers and to freight traffic. The capacity of the ship will be 1,500 passengers and up to 280 cars or 50 lorries.

Leaders and decision makers from Europe’s tourism and travel industry will meet at a gala event in Portugal this week as the regional winners for the World Travel Awards are announced.
The event has been described as the Oscars of the tourism industry, and recognises excellence in performance, customer service, innovation, creativity and overall high standards. The awards will be hosted by comedian Bobby Davro.

Budget Rent-a car is one of the world’s largest and most successful car and van hire companies and now looks to extend its operation in the Middle East following the announcement of a range of reward programs for frequent flyers to the area.

It now seems that the well known carrier, British Airways will have to undergo more talks with the union. This announcement comes just after a letter, which was signed by both of the Unite union’s joint general secretaries, indicating that crews from both former sections of the union have already declared for industrial action if the proposed changes go into affect.
The union chiefs went on to say that if the threat of the imposition is not removed now, they will be left with no other choice but to seek an immediate mandate form in a joint ballot for industrial action. [...]
