Naked Scanners Make Their Way to Manchester Airport

It now appears that new human X-ray scanner machines, which are able to produce a naked image of passengers, are being trialled at Manchester Airport. The scanners are going to be used to spot any kind of hidden weapon and/or explosive that a passenger could be trying to sneak on a plane. However, other things that will show up on the new scanners includes false limbs, piercings anywhere on the body, breast inserts and, of course, an outline of peoples’ genitals.

Unite Union Threatens Action on British Airways

The well known Unite union is currently writing to all British Airways cabin crew and criticizing the carrier’s tactics. This move comes just after British Airways made a surprise announcement to cut more jobs, working practices and pay deals. British Airways says that these new plans will go into affect November 16th. The letter, which was actually signed by Unite joint general secretaries Tony Woodley and Derek Simpson, show that crew from both sections of the union have already declared industrial action due to the changes.
The Unite union has urged British Airways’ boss, Willie Walsh, to reach a negotiated settlement. [...]
